Does our personality embody who we are as individuals? Do we merely exist as a body who just happens to have a personality? I believe we’re much more than that. I believe each one of us comes from a higher aspect that embodies our Higher Self.
Who and what is the Higher Self?
There is no single answer to this question because Higher Self can mean different things to different people. In essence, it is the part of us that is connected to our divine source. It is the part of us that is eternal and indestructible. It is our Higher Self that endures beyond physical death.
Some people describe Higher Self as our intuition or gut feeling. It is that voice inside us that tells us what is the right thing to do. Higher Self is also known as our conscience. It is the part of us that intuitively knows the difference between right and wrong.
Others describe Higher Self as our Higher Mind or spiritual intelligence. Higher Mind is the aspect of us that can see beyond the limitations of the physical world. It can understand complex concepts and spiritual truths. It sees beyond the logical part of life.
Overall, Higher Self is that part of us that is always connected to our divine source. It is the part of us that is eternal and indestructible.
The Ego Station vs Higher Self Station
When you are listening to a radio station you are tuning into a particular frequency. It is this frequency that determines what you hear and what you see. Our brains operate the same way. However, as humans, our two stations we tune into are Ego Station and the Higher-Self Station.
The Ego Station is the station that originates in the programmed mind. This station contains all our limiting beliefs that create our fears. The Ego Station is our wounded self who protects us from our past trauma. It operates on old information that we acquired as we were growing up, information that is no longer relevant or even true.
On the other hand, the Higher-Self Station is the station that taps into the unlimited information from the universe. This information is beyond our programmed mind. The Higher-Self Station taps into the Source that is always here to guide us for our highest good.
How do you tune your frequency to your higher-self station?
We’ve all got a “dial” that determines whether we’re tuned to our Ego Station’s low frequency or our Higher-Self Station’s high frequency. This dial is also known as our Intent.
We have two intents to choose from:
- The intent to get love and avoid pain with some form of controlling behavior.
- The intent to learn about loving ourselves and others.
Our Addiction for Control
When we decide to have control over obtaining love and avoiding suffering, our frequency is lowered and we are trapped in our limiting mind, our ego mind. We are stuck thinking the thoughts, telling the lies, and performing the unloving actions that produce anxiety, depression, guilt, shame etc.
We have the option of changing our minds and choosing a higher intent. This is necessary to understand what is favorable for us. We may opt to learn more about love rather than remain trapped in our ego mind. When our goal is to choose to understand love, we raise our frequency.
The next stage in Human Evolution is to recognize our connection with Source. We are all interconnected. Separation does not exist because we have come from one source. It’s like moving out of our personal computer and into the Internet.
The only thing that stops us from choosing the Higher-Self Station is our addiction to control. The ego mind wants control over not only our feelings but feelings of others. It yearns for having control over the outcome of things so to protect us from the unknown. However, this keeps us stagnet and leaves us in our comfort zones.
How can we connect with our Higher Self?
There are many ways to connect with our Higher Self. The most important thing is to be open and willing to receive guidance. Here are a few suggestions:
-Meditate regularly
– journaling – ask for guidance and then write down what you receive
– sit in silence and connect with your breath
– listen to calming music
– spend time in nature
– read spiritual books
– pray or send love to others
The Higher Self is always connected to our divine source. It is the part of us that is eternal and indestructible. When we connect with our Higher Self, we are connecting with our authentic selves. We can trust the guidance we receive because it comes from a place of love. We are all capable of receiving guidance from our Higher Selves if we are willing to open up and listen.
Connecting with your Higher Self takes practice and patience. The more we connect with our Higher Selves, the more we learn how to quiet down our ego mind. This will create a space for us to live more authentically and from a place of love. We can then begin to experience peace and happiness that is not just based on outside circumstances. The Higher Self is always with us and is available to guide us whenever we need it.
